Suburban was approached by the United States Navy in 1992 and was asked to develop a self-contained unit capable of lubricating the various elevators located aboard all aircraft carriers and other support ships. The Navy Engineers had seen our LubeMinder® advertised on this web site. After a few months of development, the Carl Vincent was the first carrier to be refitted with the new system. Now most carriers and some support ships, have our systems installed.
December of 2007 the Navy took delivery of 4 specialized automatic grease systems for elevator lock & stanchion lubrication along with hanger bay door lubrication. These systems integrate with the ships computers to provide monitoring and suggested preventive maintenance of these critical ship components. |
