In 2001, Suburban was approached by the United States Navy and asked to develop a self-contained unit capable of lubricating the various ordnance elevators located aboard all aircraft carriers and other support ships. The Navy Engineers had seen our LubeMinder® advertised on this web site. After over one year of development, the Carl Vincent was the first carrier to be refitted with the new system, in 2002. Now all carriers and support ships, as their refit schedules come up, will be fitted with our new automatic lubrication systems.
Today, we have expanded our capabilities and are developing a greasing system specific to the navy's application.
