This sleeve has nearly twice the mass & six times the abrasion resistance of any other Sidewinder product. ADVANCED PROTECTION FROM MOISTURE AND SPARKS
18411 is ideal in applications where articulating hose and cable are exposed to water, sparks, and spall. The sleeve offers similar abrasion and flexibility characteristics as 5601, along with an added internal neoprene coating to further protect against moisture. The coating, flexibility, spark resistance, and wide temperature range of -60°F (-51°C) to +250°F (121°C), with momentary spot heat up to 800°F (426°C), make 18411 the best choice for spot welding, automation, and submersible applications.

TGS (Teflon Coated Fiberglass) is a high-performance, flexible material that provides protection to componentry in high ambient temperature environments up to 600°F. A PTFE coating protects the core material from embrittlement and serves as a barrier to prevent acids, oils, sealants, and other adhesives from sticking to the sleeve.

Therma Sleeve SD is a braided fiberglass sleeving that has been heat treated and impregnated with an acrylic binder to reduce fraying and dusting, and improve usability and performance. Therma Sleeve SD was engineered for applications where temperatures as high as 1200°F may be encountered.
Therma Sleeve SD may also be used as insulation and protection for small heaters and resistors that operate at high temperatures, and to insulate over soldered connections when exposure to solder melt temperature is possible.

Step 1: Meet with the Team
When getting things started, you are going to meet with our professional team of engineers so they can get a better understanding of what your custom part needs to do. In this discovery phase, we will determine the purpose of the custom solution and draft a few general designs so we can get into the material selection step of the process.
Step 2: Select the Materials
Choose from a wide range of materials and determine how many layers of insulation are required.
Step 3: Configuring Your Part
These are the final touches to the design that will make it especially unique to your application needs. This may include adding:

Step 4: Prototype and Fitting
Our team of engineers will build the prototype based on the design, chosen fabric, and configurations decided on. Once the protoype(s) are made, we will put them onto the application to ensure it fits perfectly. If any updates are needed, we’ll make a new prototype until it’s right.

Please fill out these questions prior to speaking with an engineer.
Custom parts may require a vast amount of needs. When looking for a solution, we first diagnose the problem and then ask clarifying questions. Our goal is to satisfy your needs, so you get the right part(s):
- Is abrasion a factor?
- Is temperature a factor?
- What is the end use?
- Does the closure need extra enforcement?
- Does it need straps to secure the sleeve?
- Does it need to be fastened to anything on the ends?
When looking for a solution to a problem for a total custom part you are manufacturing, these are the questions you may be asked. This is typically a 3 Dimensional cover or part that requires a special solution involving patterning and/or custom solution materials. Total custom parts often have a more complicated solution to solve:
- What environmental factors are at play?
- Is the temperature too high?
- Which part needs protecting?
- What is the max running temperature?
- What are you needing protection for? Human touch? Protecting cables?
- Will the part see inclement weather? (eg. outdoor abrasion from dirt, sand or any other abrasive elements)
Our team takes care of the rest.
After you complete these questions, there/s nothing left for you to do! Our team will ask clarifying questions, chat to ensure we know what you are looking for and get started on a custom design to get your solution.
When the design is complete, we will create prototypes to test, and you can see the prototype yourself! Our engineers are professional and communicative throughout the custom design process.
Once the final design is approved, we will get to work to produce what you need and get it distributed in a timely manner. From start to finish, Python will walk you through the process and ensure our results are exactly what you were looking for when choosing to find a custom solution for your application.
